One of our core values at Andesa Services is involvement in the community.

Andesa has long been supportive of the mission of the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley's volunteer efforts and contribution campaigns. Our employees have taken part in the United Way Day of Caring for over 15 consecutive years, contributing countless hours of time in support of local non-profit community organizations. Recently, Andesa earned a 2012 Circle of Honor Award from United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley, a designation only approximately 6 percent of United Way company participants achieve.

In addition to donating to local and national causes, we regularly spend time delivering nutritious meals for Meals on Wheels of Northampton County.

NASDAQ bellMembers of the Andesa team also volunteer at other organizations, including The Parkinson Council. Mark Wilkin, Chief Financial Officer, serves as a board member and is the treasurer for the Philadelphia-based organization. On April 1, Mark joined fellow board member Ronald S. Robbins to ring NASDAQ’s opening bell in Times Square, kicking off National Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month. Read more about this exciting event here.

This summer, Andesa Services CEO Ron Scheese and his family traveled to San Juan, Puerto Rico as part of a mission service project team. The team completed service projects, visited the elderly in nursing homes and conducted a Vacation Bible School program, telling stories and building relationships.  The team was based out of the Calvary Church of the Nazarene in San Juan and served alongside Pastor Mariel Lopez and her staff. The trip was organized and managed by Praying Pelican Missions. Read more about the mission project team here.

guidedogAndesa Services EVP Vince Collier and his wife Daphne are volunteer Puppy Raisers for Southeastern Guide Dogs, a nonprofit organization that raises, trains and matches guide dogs with visually impaired people. As Puppy Raisers, their responsibilities are to train the puppy in the basic commands that will be needed later when they become a guide dog and to raise a happy, socialized puppy.
