Rip has more than 35 years of leadership experience as a senior executive. He is highly regarded in his field as an effective team builder and leader with a proven ability to lead change, grow organizations and deliver strong results in intensely competitive industries.
Mr. Tilden is the practice leader for Makarios’s strategy and execution practices and is actively engaged in coaching leaders in business, higher education, and in the non-profit arena. He is a certified EOS Implementer who works with a wide range of private and public companies and non-profit organizations to help them clarify their vision, gain traction in implementing that vision by driving successful execution of their growth plans, and build healthy and effective leadership teams to sustain strong performance. He and his business partner, Tim Thomas, are the authors of the recently released book: Leading on Purpose – Sage Advice and Practical Tools for Becoming the Complete Leader.
Mr. Tilden is also a project faculty member at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he works with MBA students on international strategy and marketing projects and with leadership teams of international companies to help them strengthen their leadership effectiveness, sharpen their business strategies, and execute to deliver superior results.

Raymond Farmer, Director, SC Department of Insurance, presents the NAIC Guidelines for Cybersecurity at the 2016 Client Forum.
Ray Farmer was appointed by Governor Nikki Haley to serve as Director for the South Carolina Department of Insurance November 13, 2012. With more than forty years experience, Mr. Farmer received his degree in Insurance from the University of Southern Mississippi and earned his law degree from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School.
Mr. Farmer served as the Deputy Insurance Commissioner of the Enforcement Division for the Georgia Department of Insurance and more recently Vice President for the American Insurance Association. As a part of his service, Mr. Farmer has served for over thirty years on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Arson Control Program, an organization aiding fire fighters and prosecutors combating arson. Mr. Farmer is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and a member of the Tort and Insurance Practice section as well as the Workers’ Compensation section.
In 2012, Ray was awarded the Herman Hass Award by the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia for service to the insurance industry and in 2012 he received a Presidential Citation for Outstanding Service to the insurance industry from the Professional Insurance Agents of Georgia. Most recently, Ray was named Industry Person of the Year for 2014 by Independent Agents and Brokers of South Carolina.
Mr. Farmer is a native of Atlanta and he and his wife, Gayle, have two children and five grandchildren.

Mr. McKeone has been in the industry his entire career and focused exclusively on BOLI and other institutional markets in 1997. Since then, he has helped banks and large corporate clients customize solutions across a variety of products and market conditions. Prior to IIG, Mr. McKeone was a Senior Consultant with Clark Consulting as a result of the LongMiller acquisition by Clark. Prior to that he was a product and financial analyst within the M Financial Group. He brings an extensive experience within the banking industry and large corporate insurance markets as well as product and investment expertise valuable in institutional markets.
Mr. McKeone has a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration magna cum laude from the FW Olin School at Babson College and was granted membership in the Golden Key International Honour Society. He holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (CHFC) designations, is a Registered Securities Representative, and a licensed insurance representative. He is also a member of the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting.

PwC’s Insurance Advisory Leader, Jamie Yoder, to Speak at This Year’s Client Forum.
Jamie Yoder is PwC’s Insurance Advisory Leader. He has over twenty five years of experience advising senior executives of leading U.S. and International companies in Insurance and Financial Services on a range of Competitive and Operational strategy and management issues. He has led multiple engagements in linking business, operational and information strategies, from strategy definition and planning through execution and successful realization of the projected benefits.
More specifically, Mr. Yoder has advised leading insurers on business design and transformation initiatives such as growth, customer, and operational strategies, organization and operating model design, innovation, channel excellence, customer segmentation and experience design, information and analytics strategies, and digital transformation. He also leads PwC’s global research program on the “Future of Insurance”, and has met with hundreds of executives to help them understand and address the potential opportunities and risks for the insurance industry driven by changes around social, technological, economic, environmental, and political factors.

Rob McIsaac is a Senior Vice President of Research and Consulting at Novarica with expertise in IT leadership and transformation as well as technology and business strategy for life, annuities, wealth management, and banking. He has broad experience in IT strategy and management in the insurance and financial services industries. Prior to joining Novarica, he served in a series of senior technology management positions including leading the Business Transformation Office at Nationwide Insurance and as the CIO for First Citizens Bank, a rapidly growing regional firm based in Raleigh, NC. Rob spent the majority of his career at Guardian Life, where he was the Divisional CIO responsible for annuity, distribution and broker dealer operations and at Prudential Insurance, where he held a variety of positions including leading e-Business development efforts. Rob holds a BA in Economics from Montclair State University, an MBA in Information Systems from Seton Hall University and has received a number of business and technical designations including FLMI and LLIF. Justin Brown is the Vice President of Legislative Affairs for the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU).
Mr. Brown is responsible for the management of the AALU’s policy efforts, which includes supervising AALU counsel and policy staff. Additionally, he is responsible for the AALU’s relationships with Republican Members of Congress, as well as the day-to-day management of the AALU’s Life Insurance Task Force (LITF). Mr. Brown also works closely with the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) on policy issues, as well as with ACLI member companies and the AALU’s Issues Alliance partners.
In all capacities, Mr. Brown conveys the life insurance agent community’s message to Capitol Hill and develops strategies to either advance legislative opportunities or cope with legislative threats. Recent work includes responding to threats to the tax treatment of life insurance posed by various legislative efforts on tax reform, specific work on COLI/BOLI pro-rata expense disallowance proposals, non-qualified deferred compensation risk of forfeiture proposals, and drafting a workable best interest standard for broker/dealers operating under ERISA.
Mr. Brown established the AALU’s groundbreaking “Ambassador” program – a key contact program that ensures the AALU has solid working relationships with the top 150 Members of Congress to the life insurance industry. Mr. Brown is also a key contributor to the AALU’s political messaging efforts and is a decision-maker on the disbursement of funds from the AALUPAC.
Mr. Brown has written numerous articles for the AALU Quarterly, Advocacy Brief and Weekly Briefing. He has also written articles for other industry publications. Mr. Brown has appeared in various political involvement videos and spoken to numerous groups – both in and outside of the life insurance industry. Mr. Brown began his career in Washington in 1997 at the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee. He has worked on three local General Assembly races, two Congressional races, one Senate race and two Presidential races.

Vince Collier Andesa’s Executive Vice President and Interim CTO and Chris Shalbert, our Chief Implementation Officer provide our Strategic Technology Roadmap.
Vince who is our Executive Vice President has more than 20 years of experience as a senior executive and Chief Information Officer in the insurance industry. Vince was President of ADASTAR™, LLC, a provider of illustration and plan services to the Executive Benefits market, prior to its merger with Andesa. Vince holds an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Berea College and a Masters in Business Administration from Morehead State University.
Chris, our Chief Implementation Officer, serves as the central resource and driving force to ensure Andesa’s service offerings will be effectively and efficiently designed, developed and launched while working in close collaboration with Andesa’s Business Development, Technology and Operations areas. He joined Andesa in 2001 after spending six years performing back office support and analysis in a Financial Planning and Consulting firm located in Allentown, Pa. Chris attended LaSalle University where he obtained a degree in Mathematics with concentrations in Computer Science and Risk Management & Insurance.

Andesa’s President & CEO, Ron Scheese will conclude the 2016 Client Forum with his President’s address–entitled “The Voice.” He will be discussing the strategic vision and plans for Andesa, reviewing the current pressures facing our industry and sharing insights into how Andesa is competing and succeeding in order to continue to provide support for our client partners.
Ron Scheese, Andesa’s CEO since January 2011, is responsible for guiding the company toward its present and future goals. Prior to being elevated to CEO, Ron had served as Andesa’s Chief Administration Officer and Chief Financial Officer since 2006. Before coming to the company, he worked at Phoebe Ministries, a not-for-profit network of long-term care, housing, and support services for seniors, where he was the Senior Vice President of Finance/CFO. He has also worked for three years with QuadraMed, a software and services solutions company, as the Product Line Manager in Decision Support Services.
Ron is a CPA with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Albright College.
