Andesa Services Volunteers Time for United Way of GLV Day of Caring

As part of the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley’s annual Day of Caring, a team of volunteers from Andesa spent time on Friday, Sept. 27 helping out (and having fun) at Boys & Girls Club of Allentown.

doc4The Boys & Girls Club is more than a place; it is a movement to enable all young people, especially those most in need, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. By reaching children at an early age and providing positive activities and encouragement, the Boys & Girls Club provides a compelling alternative to youth crime, gang membership, drugs and other negative influences that affect our youth today. The organization provides education support, literacy support, technology skills, arts and wellness activities.

Andesa’s Day of Caring tasks primarily consisted of painting doors and door frames throughout the facility and helping load and unload mums for one of the Boys & Girls Club’s largest fund raisers.
