Project Management Specialist (contract position)

This contract position is responsible for utilizing IT project management and organizational skills in providing project administration for multiple internal and external projects. Projects will range in size from small, scheduled software releases to large, complex conversions between life and health insurance policy administration systems

Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop and update project plans in coordination with internal and external project management teams and business leads
• Create and maintain standard implementation plan and status tracking
• Develop and provide status reports for each assigned project
• Create and maintain project budget
• Communicate and escalate critical issues to management as necessary
• Provide meeting re-caps/minutes from project-related meetings
• Track resource and project metrics to facilitate allocation requirements on assigned projects
• Update and submit required Andesa Project Board reports
• Performs other duties as may be assigned

Essential Skills:
• Demonstrated ability to design, develop, deploy, and maintain project plans/ budgets
• Understanding of Project Management practices and methodologies
• Ability to work with an enterprise project management tool
• Knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Adjusts and is flexible to meet the changing needs and demands of internal and external clients
• Remains on the forefront of emerging industry practices in project management techniques

Education and Experience
• Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent professional experience
• At least five (5) years of technical project management experience
