Happy Thanksgiving from Andesa: From the Desk of the CEO
Thanksgiving season is a special time for us at Andesa. Most of us surround ourselves with friends and family then celebrate with a bountiful meal and other religious or sporting traditions. The holiday kicks off a season of celebrations and reflections which take us to the New Year.
Our clients often share stories about our Andesa Team and individuals who have made a difference throughout the year. I asked our staff to post their “Attitude of Gratitude” message on an internal blog post. To share with you some insight into the inner workings of the Andesa world, here is a sampling of the responses:
Andesa’s Employees and Clients are always at the top of my list of things I am thankful for. I am also thankful to be working for an organization that listens to its employees and genuinely cares for their personal and professional well-being. Since becoming a member of the Andesa family 10 years ago, Andesa and its employees have always been there for me (and continue to be) and helped me through some pretty tough times. I am and always will be grateful for that.
– Pat Dunion, Senior Implementation Lead
I’m grateful for the people I’ve met, the friends I’ve made, and the things I’ve learned since I started working here. There are some really amazing people working here, and it’s pretty awesome to interact with them every day.
– Adriana Rivera, System Developer
I’m thankful for my Co-workers as well as Andesa’s Shareholders and Clients. Having the opportunity to work at Andesa continues to be a blessing to me and my family.
– Jerry Pennella, Account Executive
In addition to the great people here at Andesa that have taught me so much, I’m thankful for all of the little extras that Andesa provides us with. Nutrition seminars, book clubs with the CEO, an opportunity to volunteer for Meals on Wheels deliveries, to name a few.
– Beth Kulig, Benefits & Payroll Administrator
First, I’m grateful that Andesa cares about its employees as real people rather than seeing them as merely “human resources”. Next, I’m grateful that we have partnerships with most of our clients rather than merely customer/vendor relationships. Finally, I’m grateful that our owners are kind and generous rather than greedy.
– Mark Floyd, Lead System Engineer
I’m glad to work somewhere that seems to actually care about its employees and customers both. There’s a sort of honesty and friendliness here that’s really refreshing.
– Kaitlyn Chappell, System Developer
I’m thankful for the opportunity to work with great people, interact with awesome clients and have a Board of Directors which supports our employees and our strategies. I am also thankful for all the growth that Andesa has offered me over the past 14 years. John Walker’s vision of an employee centric culture continues to support Andesa and rewards all involved through our win-win-win value. Finally, I’m thankful for Andesa’s willingness to give back to our community, regardless of whether it’s one of our own or folks we haven’t met yet!
– Chris Shalbert, Chief Implementation Officer
I am thankful for the people at Andesa. I know that those around me genuinely care about each other, demonstrate honor and integrity in their decisions and actions, respect each other’s differences, have pride in their work and are driven by their values and moral compass. I have been blessed to be a part of the Andesa family!
– Michelle Cramer, Lead Actuary
Simply stated my co-workers are amazing. As a whole I feel there is nothing we can not accomplish, that is how dedicated each of us is to the success of a company we believe in. Working at Andesa I have learned the definition of second family and for this I could not be more grateful. I am thankful for the amount of empowerment they allow to each of us. As an employee I have never felt my wings have been “clipped,” my success lies within how high I allow myself to fly. Andesa believes in the people they hire.
– Tammy Staudt, Marketing Coordinator
The team at Andesa wishes everyone a very special Thanksgiving and Holiday Season. May the spirit of the season be with you all. Thank you for your loyalty, support and partnership.
